“Books are incredible. There’s simply no other way to learn and retain information from a compendium of specialized human knowledge. Authors living or dead - all of them have invaluable wisdom to impart- which is why I read a book a day, and you should too,” writes Tai Lopez, on his blog.
Here are some tips for a better reading session:
1.Get ready to read:
Have a process that you follow before you commence reading:
2.Time your read:
There’s only so much time of absolute focus you can have in a day. 45 minutes of focused reading beats 2 hours of phubbing on your phone with a book in the other hand. Use time wisely.

3.“What do I want to learn from this book?”
Ask yourself that question before you start. Have an aim, in everything you do. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, how will you find anything.
4.Read Smart, over read hard.
Don’t get me wrong, hard work pays. I’m not saying you shouldn’t put in time. I’m just saying you should use time in the most optimal way possible.
The same ideology must be applied to reading. The goal here isn’t to read as much as possible. The goal is to learn as much as possible within a certain amount of time. Read and re-read a particular concept until you have a thorough understanding of it.
Instead of reading 50 books in the entire year, you might want to zero in on 5. Quality over quantity, is what I'm emphasizing on.

5.Read the right books:
With the technology available today, anyone can publish a book within a matter of days- hire a ghostwriter, get a contract with a publisher and list it on Amazon, that’s it. This means that there are a huge number of books that are on the market, that aren’t really a true reflection of one’s ideas. And it is important for you to guard what knowledge you feed your mind.
As a new reader, it is important for someone to guide you through the world of authors and books trying to sell you paper.
