What is productivity?
We throw the word around, without really knowing what ‘productivity’ implies and how we can increase our productivity. I always like to know exactly what the topic at hand means, so here goes…
“Productivity is the focused state of being able to finish a planned amount of work within a planned amount of time. The quality of productivity is directly proportional to the amount of work done. Which means, the more productive you are, the more work you get done.”
In simple words, it is your ability to get work done. The better it is, the more work you get done.

Here are 5 Tips for you to have better productivity:
Plan your day the night before.
By ‘plan your day’, I mean planning every single thing you do, throughout the day.
How does this help you be more productive?
Planning your day out helps reduce any confusion or mental fog or deciding what do to. It helps you focus on the task at hand and not be worried about other appointment, commitments, etc, thus being more productive.
This is an ideology by author, Cal Newport.
Deep work refers to:
Today’s economy depends on producing professional results in the shortest amount of time. Deep work allows you to do just that.
Set aside 2-4 hours a day for professional, distraction-free work. Do your 5 main tasks for the day, during this period.
This is important enough to be put down as a separate point, although I already mentioned it above.
Constantly being distracted disturbs our chain of thought. Having a continuous chain of thought is important, to be more productive.
For optimal results, you want to have a continuous chain of thought for at least 45- 60 minutes in a row.
Do one task at a time, before moving on to the next; you’re not an iOS software.
Doing more than one thing at once, means you’re not giving a 100 percent of your attention to either one, and that means you’re not as productive as you possibly can.
Multitasking and productivity are inversely proportional; remember that. One decreases as the other increases.
5.Take a break:
Not taking a break for hours, is like walking on the Stairmaster until you get a heart attack and pass out.
The former is mental fatigue, while the latter is physical.
I’m not saying you should go watch a movie between work.
Just a 10-minute walk to the coffee shop across the road, or a 5-minute conversation with your girlfriend on the phone. Just do something that makes you feel better, without being distracted.

6. The RAC Method:
The RAC Method is a 3-step process for better time management.
Time Management is the art of exercising conscious control over the activities performed over the course of a day.
The more efficiently you manage your time, the more productive you are at work. Here’s how you can manage time like a CEO using the RAC Method.
