We all have those times when we feel like we should quit. Times get hard and quitting seems like the only option, right?
Here are 6 reasons you should keep your head up and keep moving:
1.The reason why you started:
As soon as things get hard, we tend to forget the purpose behind why we started. Is it not important anymore?
No matter what your intention was when you started, don’t give up on it so easily. Think about why you started. That should be your motivation.
Those who quit are often narrow minded people, who fail to think big. One of the most life changing books I read, was the 'Magic of Thinking Big', By David Schwartz. The books brings to life a step by step approach to defeat disbelief, think positively and capitalize on the power on 'now'.
The ideas and techniques mentioned by Dr. David, help you think big, see the bigger picture and stay motivated. I'd highly recommend you to go grab yourself a copy, below. Shipping is absolutely free.
But first, let's continue with the article.
2.Finding reasons to quit is easy:
When in a difficult situation, the easiest thing to do, is find reasons to quit. To make matters worse, all the losers around you will be ready to ‘sympathize’ and ‘make you feel better’. These are usually the same people who wanted you to fail, in the first place, anyways.
Seriously? Is that how tough you are? You need reasons to quit and haters to ‘make you feel better’.
For once, try the harder route. Find one- just one- reason to keep going.
3.You’ll regret it:
Better ‘what if’, than ‘never’.
Quitting is going to make you feel terrible, every time you think about it. If you keep going, you’ll at least have the satisfaction of having tried.
4.Quitting once, makes you a quitter for life:
Quit once, and you’ll make quitting a habit.
Change your mindset and find reasons to keep going.
5.You’re a lot closer than you think you are:
Every heard the story of the gold-digger who stopped digging a few inches away from the gold?
More often than not, that’s the situation that we find ourselves in.
It’s usually that one extra mile that separates first place from the second. That extra step is what makes a champion.
6.Enjoy the process:
Too many people are focused on the end goal. While it’s important to have a goal in mind, that shouldn’t be your only motivation.
Sooner or later, things will get tough, and unless you really love the process of what you’re doing, you will feel like quitting.
Always find something you truly love doing, and you’ll be able to keep pushing even when all the odds are against you.
Thinking big helps you look at more than just the end goal, and helps you believe in yourself. Make sure to get your hands on a copy of 'The Magic of Thinking Big', below. Featured alongside it, are a few more of our recommended reads for this year.
